Blog post #19-19. Should school attendance be mandatory? In your answer, be sure to explore what the function of education is, and what our nation would look like if the masses were less educated.

School should always be mandatory. Sometimes people need to be forced to do something they may not want to do, because in the end it will always be the right choice. If our nation had the choice to go to school or not, most would pick the easy choice, and not attend school. but in reality, most people who drop out of high school never get very far in life and never reach their full potential. If masses were less educated , our nation would not have many doctors or astronauts or other important careers that help citizens and out world.  The function of education is to teach discipline and important subjects that even though we may not use in everyday life, they give us the knowledge to have and it will always be their with us because even if a person may be poor, rich, or ugly their education is something that they will always have with them. It is very sad that more and more people drop out of high school and college because they think that life will be easier but it will only get harder. If anyone stopped and thought about high school and college, they are the times of our lives that will make up the rest of our future. Education should never be an option , It is a gift that we have and should always be wanted by everyone.
